Ingredients
- Firm tofu
- Fresh garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Cornstarch for coating
- 1 large egg
- A handful of green onions, chopped
Sauce
- 2 spoons of soy sauce
- 1 spoon of oyster sauce
- 1/2 spoon of sugar
- 1/2 spoon of cornstarch
- 1/2 bowl of water

- Crafting the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine two spoons of soy sauce, one spoon of oyster sauce, half a spoon each of sugar and cornstarch, and half a bowl of water. Stir until smooth and integrate the chopped garlic.
- Tofu Preparation: Slice the firm tofu into evenly sized cubes.
- Cornstarch Coating: Lay out cornstarch on a flat plate. Gently roll each tofu cube ensuring an even coat.
- Egg Wash: Whisk the egg in a bowl till frothy. Dip each tofu cube into the egg wash, ensuring all sides are covered.
- Golden Frying: In a heated pan, pour oil and let it warm. Add tofu cubes and fry until they achieve a golden brown hue on all sides.
- Sauce Infusion: Pour in the sauce crafted in step 1. Stir and let simmer until the sauce thickens and envelopes the tofu. As a finishing touch, sprinkle freshly chopped green onions.
